Unrestricted Grants

Kiwanis Unrestricted Grants are awarded for projects serving the needs of children of all ages in Haywood County.  Typically, they support projects in the schools for which funds are not otherwise available.  These grants are funded by our fund-raising projects. Unrestricted Grants can range up to $3000.00 Applications are a one-page project summary plus a short budget. The Grants committee reviews the applications and recommends awards to the Board for their approval.

KIWANIS CLUB OF WAYNESVILLE ANNOUNCES GRANTS

The Kiwanis Club of Waynesville recently announced the availability of Unrestricted Grants for 2022 

Unrestricted Grants typically range from $500 to $3000 and must meet the following criteria: The proposed project will serve youth and children in the Haywood County community and will provide tangible, long-lasting items such as equipment and supplies. The awarded grants will strive to maximize the impact of these funds on the children of the community. Grants in the past have been issued to Mountain Projects, Haywood County Schools, Pidgeon Community Center, Haywood Early College, KARE, Clothes to Kids.

The primary mission of the Kiwanis Club of Waynesville is to support the youth of Haywood County.  The resources to support the Unrestricted Grants come from fund-raising projects, including a Spelling Bee each spring, and U.S. flag service on national holidays, Cabaret.

All applications must include a budget detailing the cost of the items requested for the project.

To be considered in the 2022 grant cycle, applications for Unrestricted Grants must be received by May 13th, 2022.

The Kiwanis Club of Waynesville is an active group of men and women from Haywood County.  The club meets at 11:30 each Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, 305 N.
